Social Makers – Call for Artist Interventions and Installations
As part of the symposium programme we are hoping to share the work of those working with social practices engaged with communities in Plymouth and the South West. Socially engaged practice can include any art form which involves people and communities in debate, collaboration or social interaction. This can often be organised as the result of an outreach or education program, but many independent artists also use it within their work.
We invite proposals from artists from Plymouth and the South West region whose work is strongly engaged in community, to display work, an installation, or documentation of practice which may include video, photographs, text or performance in one of three converted jail cells in the Devonport Guildhall building. For more information about this unique site please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
We welcome proposals from artists at all stages in their careers.
